Refund Policy

At AI Clip Studio, we are committed to providing a unique and innovative experience through AI-generated short-form video. We understand that generative AI, while powerful and rapidly improving, isn't perfect and may not always produce the results You expect. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing credits or a subscription.

Used Credits Are Non-Refundable

Generation on AI Clip Studio relies on high-cost GPUs and third-party AI APIs (language, voice, and video/image models) that charge us per call. Because each second of video consumes real compute that we cannot reclaim, credits that have been used are non-refundable. This applies whether the output met Your expectations or not.

Unused Credits

Unused credits in Your balance roll over each billing cycle while Your subscription remains active. Unused credits are not redeemable for cash and are not refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. If You cancel Your subscription, You retain access to Your remaining credits through the end of the current billing cycle; credits are forfeited once Your access to the Service ends.

Subscriptions, Upgrades, and Downgrades

  • Cancellation: You may cancel Your subscription at any time through Stripe Billing. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing cycle.
  • Upgrades: Upgrades may add a prorated amount of credits to Your balance after payment is captured.
  • Scheduled downgrades: Downgrading does not remove credits You have already earned. Your new plan takes effect at the start of Your next billing cycle.
  • Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, Your plan may be paused until the payment is resolved. Credits that have already been issued remain in Your balance subject to these Terms.

AI Limitations Are Not Grounds for a Refund

By using the Service, You acknowledge the inherent limitations of generative AI, including but not limited to:

  • Outputs that misinterpret, partially ignore, or creatively reinterpret Your prompt.
  • Visual artifacts, distortions, awkward motion, or imperfect text rendering.
  • Voiceovers that mispronounce names, numbers, or uncommon words.
  • Caption timing, accuracy, or spelling that requires minor edits before publishing.
  • Variation between runs of the same or similar prompts.

We recommend reviewing our public examples and generating a short clip before committing to a larger plan so You can calibrate Your expectations. These limitations are not grounds for a refund of used credits.

Policy Violations Forfeit Credits and Refunds

Accounts terminated for violating our Terms of Service — including, without limitation, attempts to generate NSFW, sexually explicit, illegal, CSAM, hateful, or real-person likeness content, or any attempt to bypass our safety filters — will be immediately and permanently banned. In these cases:

  • All remaining credits are forfeited.
  • No refund of previously purchased credits or subscription fees will be issued.
  • Flagged prompts and associated account data may be retained for security, legal-compliance, and law-enforcement purposes.

Chargebacks and Fraud

If You initiate a chargeback instead of contacting us first, we may suspend or terminate Your account while the dispute is investigated. Fraudulent chargebacks, stolen payment methods, or coordinated abuse will result in a permanent ban and may be reported to payment processors and authorities.

Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in cases of:

  • Duplicate charges caused by a billing error on our side.
  • Verified unauthorized charges (after You notify us promptly).
  • Service outages that prevent You from using purchased credits during a significant portion of Your billing cycle, at our discretion.
  • Any refund required by applicable consumer-protection law in Your jurisdiction.
